Alberto de la Espriella, born on July 8, 1994, in Barranquilla, Colombia, is a filmmaker whose artistic journey blends formal education and hands-on exploration of cinema. He began his studies at Lasalle College in Bogotá, where he developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling and production techniques. Seeking to deepen his craft, he continued his education at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a renowned institution that allowed him to refine his technical expertise while immersing himself in diverse cinematic movements such as Italian neorealism, the French New Wave, and Latin American cinema. This experience shaped his understanding of storytelling as a tool to reflect cultural and social realities.
